Fast Eddie’s Billiards & Sports Bar, one of our favorite pool halls in Houston, held simultaneous competitions throughout Texas on July 3. As many as ten contestants were eligible to vie for the glory (and prizes) at each location during Fast Eddie’s Independence Day Hot Dog Eating Competition. We sent a photographer to cover the event at the 12344 Gulf Freeway location, and it wasn't pretty. Things turned out better for the spectators; they enjoyed the show plus $2.75 Budweiser and $4 Wild Turkey.
