Last night marked the opening of Ben "Catfish" Perez' show "Menagerie of Hope," a playful series of ink-and-paint sketches of animals in pink. The inspiration for the show, however, had a slightly darker tone: Perez was motivated to do the series as a tribute to his mother-in-law, who died of breast cancer. The "pink ribbon" can be seen hidden within the works, and 100 percent of the proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. PHOTOS BY BATLI JOSELEVITZ
