OKRA Charity Saloon Open House

Though it's not quite ready for its close-up yet, the Organized Kooperative on Restaurant Affairs Charity Saloon, Houston's first non-profit bar (the proceeds will go to a different Houston-based organization each month) is hosting a fund-raiser and open house this weekend from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. tonight and Saturday (August 24-25) at its 924 Congress location. Earlier this evening the bar was filled with happy hour imbibers and friends of the many local bar and restaurant owners involved in OKRA. PHOTOS BY BRITTANIE SHEY AND KATHARINE SHILCUTT
