Shuttlebration: Space Shuttle Replica Comes to NASA

"Shuttlebration Weekend" began on Friday afternoon when the Space Shuttle attraction arrived by barge at the Johnson Space Center dock on Clear Lake. This was the largest item to arrive at the dock since the Saturn V arrived for display in 1977.
The public was invited to a free street party at the dock to witness and celebrate the historic arrival. The street party included exhibits of new technologies and space vehicles that are being developed for the future of space exploration, as well as local marching bands, food and entertainment. Former astronaut Steve Oswald was also on hand to sign autographs. PHOTOS BY ALLISON McPHAIL
