Sneak Peek Inside the New Dynamo Stadium

Photographer Marco Torres got a sneak peak yesterday of the almost-finished BBVA Compass Stadium in downtown Houston, soon-to-be home of the Houston Dynamo, thanks to Dynamo President of Business Operations Chris Canetti.
Construction on the stadium began March 1st, 2011 and will conclude on May 5th, 2012. The first game is on May 12th, 2012 against
DC United. This is the first downtown soccer specific stadium for Major League Soccer.
The state-of-the-art open-air stadium was designed by Populous Architects, who also designed Reliant Stadium. It will seat 22,000 fans and will also host college football games, concerts and more in the Dynamo off-season. Also check out our photos from the February 5, 2011 groundbreaking ceremony.
