Tequila & Tamales 2012 at La Mexicana

Four restaurants gathered in the dining room of La Mexicana last night to serve their unique versions of margaritas and tamales -- a Christmas classic -- to 150 diners, each armed with tokens to vote for their faves, at our second annual Tequila & Tamales party. La Mexicana's traditional pork tamales beat out the others from Pico's Mex-Mex, El Gran Malo and TQLA's duck tamales, while El Gran Malo's infused-tequila margarita took first prize for drinks.
