The 10 Most Texan Beers

10. Rahr and Sons Ugly Pug Black Lager

Although the Ugly Pug Black Lager wasn't Fort Worth-based Rahr's first beer, it's been the brewery's most popular since being introduced in 2004 (the same year the brewery opened). Its original brewer, Jason Courtney (who won the 2002 Small Brew Pub Brew Master of the Year at GABF), is to thank for the Schwarzbier's recipe, which is eminently drinkable for a dark beer.

This coming Fourth of July, don't just celebrate your American patriotism; celebrate your Lone Star patriotism with one of these 10 beers, the most Texan beers ever to grace our refrigerators, kegs and tap lines.
