Bloodless Bullfighting in Rosenberg

Saturday, July 5, marked the first time in more than 20 years that the Houston area has seen a bullfight. Sort of.

Mauricio Flores is a novillero, a novice matador, whose job is to keep the bull moving and active and act like a safety net if the matador gets in trouble. Kind of like a rodeo clown without the make-up.
