Everybody needs a friend, and that’s also true for one of our favorite parks in Houston. The nature-loving members of Friends of Memorial Park gathered for a Lawn Party on August 24 along with the young professionals from Urban Wild. The shebang was hosted by the Memorial Park Conservancy and featured door prizes, lawn games and beer (thank you, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Karbach Brewery), plus off-road tours of the Biocycling Center. Members enjoyed discounts from participating food trucks Foreign Policy, Ice & Fire, Steel City Pops, and Fast Squeeze. Photos by Doogie Roux.
