Local area engineers, architects, designers and beach enthusiasts face off at the AIA Sandcastle Competition 2010. Sixty-five teams are chasing the contest’s Golden Bucket award this year. The teams will sculpt, pack, shape and carve sand into elaborate, intricately designed castles which judges will grade on originality, artistic execution, carving technique and technical difficulty.
