A 20-year-old man was found shot dead in his apartment on the west side Saturday night, and a young child was wandering about the complex when police arrived.

Houston police were called to an apartment complex in the 2400 block of West Sam Houston Parkway a little after 7 p.m. Saturday and found the man’s body. The victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also saw a young child wandering about. They are investigating whether there is any connection.
