| Two cab drivers killed this week |
For the second time this week, a taxi driver has been found shot to death. Earlier this week it was a body found abandoned in a northwest-side drainage ditch; today it’s a man found dead in his cab on the far west side.
The man was discovered slumped over in his cab about 4 a.m. this morning, when a police officer noticed some smoke coming from the stopped vehicle in the 12100 block of Overbrook. The victim’s identity has not been released. (Update: Police have idetified him as Blaize Uzoma Nwokenaka, 50.)
HPD has said the driver was a victim of a shooting and will be releasing a composite sketch of a suspect later today.
