It wouldnt take a genius to figure out the target market for HITS Theatres latest production. The company opens Little Women (The Musical) today, and were guessing theres going to be a lot of estrogen up in that house. The performance brings Louisa May Alcotts semiautobiographical novel to life with musical numbers inspired by Jo Marchs accounts of growing up with sisters Meg, Amy and Beth while their father is away fighting in the Civil War. Alcotts classic tale explores the girls coming-of-age experiences, including sibling rivalries, and the pains and joys of love and death. 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. 311 West 18th Street. Through December 30. For tickets and information, call 713-861-7408 or visit www.hitslittlewomen.org. $75 for todays opening night performance (dinner included); $25 for all other performances.
