Kenny & Ziggy’s, 2327 Post Oak, is getting in on the St. Patrick’s Day action this Tuesday, March 17. All day, the popular deli will be serving up its corned beef & cabbage dinner (which includes 2 sides and a house salad) and a bottle of ale for $21.95. Talk about the luck of the Irish. Blarney tov!
Now through the entire Rodeo season, Museum Park Cafe and Bosta Wine & Coffee, 1801 Binz, are offering Wave riders’ a round up of specials. Before you catch the shuttle, chow down on MPC’s “Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co. beer and Rodeo Burger” special for $12, or cool down with $6 Cowboy Cocktails (offer starts at 4:30 p.m.). Over at Bosta, rodeo-bound guests can enjoy $3 Texas Beer specials, $5 Chili Fries and $7 Barnyard Sandwiches. Regular happy hour menus will also be available until 7 p.m.
Prohibition Supperclub & Bar, 1008 Prairie, is embracing Rodeo month with a limited time oyster and drink special. On Monday – Thursday (now through March 22), guests can kick up their feet at the bar and enjoy a $5 Bourbon Buck made with Old Forester Bourbon, lemon, turbinado syrup and ginger beer. Pair this aperitif fit for a cowboy with $1 raw oysters or $1.50 chargrilled oysters, also offered all day Monday – Thursday.
On Tuesday, March 24 at 7 p.m., Bistro Provence, 13616 Memorial, will be hosting a 5-course, wine paired dinner with one of Bourgogne’s most popular winemakers, Jean-Philippe Marchand, and special guests Tim Smith and Phyllis Adatto, owners of the Houston-based French Country Wines. Courses include a lobster and St. Jacques carpaccio starter, traditonnal coq au vin, and poached pear, among other delectable things. The menu is $95 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. On Wednesday, March 25, French Country Wines, 2433 Barlett, will be hosting a “Meet the Maker” wine tasting with winemaker Jean-Phillippe Marchand. Marchand will introduce several of his exclusive Burgundy wines for tasting alongside samples of cheese made by Houston Dairy Maids.
