| Argument turns deadly |
An argument ended in a shotgun death Friday afternoon, and a man has been arrested and charged with murder.
The victim, Travone Ford, 24, had been arguing with John Anthony Lopez, 27, in the 11900 block of South Wilcrest near the Southwest Freeway about 2:30 p.m. Friday, police say.
The argument turned physical, HPD says, and “at some point, Lopez produced a shotgun and shot Ford as Ford was leaving the
scene.”
HPD says Lopez turned himself in Saturday and gave a statement “admitting to his involvement in Ford’s death.”
