A father killed his baby daughter by hitting her in the stomach when she wouldn’t quit crying, Houston police say.
Iniubong Effiong Ebong, 31, admitted to police that he struck his five-month-old daughter Indya about 5:30 p.m. Friday; the baby was taken to the hospital by her parents and later died.
The incident occurred at the Ebongs’ apartment in the 2100 block of South Kirkwood on the west side of town. It took a day before the father confessed, police said.
