The good news is that the FDA has lifted its June 7 warning on tomatoes. As of July 17, all tomatoes currently on the market have been cleared.
The bad news is that raw serrano and jalapeño peppers are still considered suspect by the FDA and people in high risk groups such as the elderly, infants and pregnant women are advised to avoid them.
