Jerry Seinfeld is still the master of the observational stand-up domain. Creatively, he has nothing left to prove he could spend an hour on stage reciting Seinfeld quotes, as safe and familiar as a neighborhood coffee shop, and still thrill three-quarters of his audience. But the man who dared to ask Whats the deal with ? has tackled this tour with the eagerness of a comic who still loves his craft. Seinfelds new material, which covers advertising, cell phones and cereal (Dont you think its a little arrogant to call a breakfast cereal Life?), is as sharp as ever, and his energy level has been high. Even if youre paying for the nostalgia, youll get an influential comic whos remained fresh for more than 20 years.
