You don’t need experience in international relations in order to appreciate the films being screened at the four-day United Nations Association Film Festival. The movies examine political problems around the world, with topics such as crimes against humanity (The Reckoning, from the Congo), honor killing (Dishonored, from Pakistan) and environmental activism (Crude, from Ecuador). There’s also antiwar sentiment (Soldiers of Peace, from Australia) and race relations (Prom Night in Mississippi, from the USA). The program features more than a dozen films, including shorts — which, unfortunately, isn’t enough to spotlight all of our global problems. Screening times vary. Through January 30.
