Pianist Jonathan Biss was destined to become a classical musician, it seems: His mother, a violinist, performed a solo at Carnegie Hall while pregnant with him. Now 30, Biss has established himself as a sought-after artist, and today hell join the Houston Symphony and conductor James Gaffigan to perform Beethovens Piano Concerto No. 3, a powerhouse of a piece that ranges from delicate trills to fortissimo explosions involving the whole orchestra.
