Bayou City Art Festival Downtown 2014, a two-day celebration with some 300 national and international juried fine and pop visual artists, debuts Bayou City after Dark on Saturday, a nighttime continuation of the fun with concerts and cocktails. The artists, who work in a variety of mediums including photography, sculpture, clay, mixed-media, jewelry and painting, include Ella Richards. This yearโ€™s featured artist, Richards doesnโ€™t draw or paint; she cuts. She created the festivalโ€™s poster art (an image of several women in black dresses) by cutting away sections of the paper. Some of Houstonโ€™s most popular food trucks will be on site.
