Houston, it’s time to dust off your jerseys and grab a cold one—Astros baseball is back, with the hometeam kicking off the 2025 season on Thursday, March 27, facing the New York Mets at Daikin Park (formerly Minute Maid Park) at 3:10 p.m.

As always, the city’s hottest bars and restaurants are stepping up to the plate with epic Opening Day watch parties and Astros-themed specials, some all season long. From whiskey bars slinging Grand Slam Old Fashioneds to sports bars hosting legends like Craig Biggio, plus a brand-new lineup of ballpark bites at Daikin Park, here’s where to sip, bite and catch all the Houston Astros action this season.

Around the Corner, 1510 Hutchins; Leeland House, 2119 Leeland
EaDo joint venture Around the Corner and Leeland House are just a short walk from the stadium action, offering a homerun happy hour, brunch and dining, spacious patio with two large screens and energetic game-day atmosphere.

Bayou & Bottle, 1300 Lamar
The whiskey bar’s Astros’ home opener experience runs from 1 to 9 p.m. In addition to an impressive collection of more than 200 whiskies, guests can enjoy chef Gaby Jimenez’s Kobe Beef Hot Dog, which will be offered during every home game of the season. Guests can also sip the Orbit and Grand Slam Old Fashioned cocktails while they cheer on our beloved ‘Stros.

Biggio’s, 1777 Walker
With a special appearance from Astros legend Craig Biggio himself, this downtown sports bar’s Astros Opening Weekend is the place to be. Expect cold beers and great eats, brand-new LED screens for the ultimate game-day experience, DJs, activations and more.

Christian’s Tailgate, multiple locations
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Opening Day, fans can indulge in $10 Slider Baskets, $10 Nachos and $10 Quesadillas. All-season long, Christian’s Tailgate also offers a $5 shot menu and an array of Houston-themed cocktails, with favorites like the Orbit’s Peach 75 and Clutch City Ranch Water, plus $20 Game Day Buckets of Beer.

Comfort Foodies, 8128 North Sam Houston Parkway West,
The comfort food spot is celebrating the Astros’ Opening Day with a special tribute to starting pitcher Framber Valdez, featuring a Dominican-style Pollo Guisado and an Astros-inspired “Orange Crush” Frozen Mango Daiquiri. Fans can also enjoy the Game Day Foodie Platter ($45), packed with empanadas, wings, tostones, and fries.

Daikin Park, 501 Crawford
Outside the newly minted Daikin Park (formerly Minute Maid Park) the Astros host an Opening Day Street Fest starting at noon and featuring live music, food trucks, yard games and fun for fans of all ages. The ballpark also unveils new menu items this baseball season, serving up Marco’s Pizza, which recently became the official pizza of the Houston Astros, plus hot new items like the Chicken Waffle Sandwich with fried chicken, pepper jack cheese, bacon onion jam and honey chipotle aioli between two freshly made Belgian-style waffles (Fry-4-3 Double Play Section 206 and Fry-4-3 Section 420); the Daddy Mac Dog, a footlong angus beef frank with chopped brisket, macaroni and cheese, barbecue sauce and crispy dill pickle (Sections 113, 129, 213, 416, 427); and the H-Town Hot Chicken Loaded Fries (Fry-4-3 Double Play Section 206 and Fry-4-3 Section 420).

The Finn, 712 Main
The Finn is celebrating Astros’ Opening Day with food and cold beer specials including $6 draft beers and a $10 burger and fries combo from Proper.

FM Kitchen & Bar/PKL Social, 1112 Shepherd
Expect TVs on every corner and all season-long on game days specials at both concepts, including $3 Corndogs ($1 on Tuesdays) and $10 Corndog Baskets (two corn dogs, fries or tater tots and dipping sauce) and drink specials from $5 Blue Moons to $25 Dos XX Buckets to $10 Hornitos Ranch Waters.

Height’s & Co.,  1343 Yale
For opening day and all season-long, Heights & Co. will be offering Stros Smash Burgers and Crush CIty Margarita specials. Evening Astros games will be played on the projector big screen on the patio, and day games will be shown on other TVs around the restaurant.

J-Bar-M Barbecue, 2201 Leeland
Steps away from Daikin Park. baseball fans can hit up J-Bar-M Barbecue and kick off the Astros season by ordering the Joe Espada Plate, a one-meat plate with chicken and sides of macaroni and cheese and cauliflower. The East End barbecue joint will be displaying every Astros game on its brand-new, large screen on the outside patio. Fans can also enjoy their ongoing $5 margarita, $2 wells and $15 buckets of beer drink specials.

Kenny & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen Restaurant, 1743 Post Oak
Begining March 20 and running throughout baseball season, Kenny & Ziggy’s is offering a trio of Astros specials. Go for the World Series-winning Houston Astros Home Run Sandwich, made with Kosher salami as “first base,” pastrami as “second,” corned beef as “third,” and house-roasted turkey breast as “home,” with layers of rye, coleslaw, and Russian dressing in between each base, plus provolone cheese and red sweet peppers; or dig into a slice of Ziggy’s three-layer Houston Astros Cake or ke Me Out to the Ballgame Sundae topped with caramel sauce, popcorn and Astro colored sprinkles.

MAVEN Coffee + Cocktails at Daikin Park, 501 Crawford
As the Astros hit the field, MAVEN Coffee + Cocktails is back at Daikin Park (Section 104), serving Astros fans craft coffee and cocktails. Co-founded by Lance McCullers Jr., hit it for favorites like the Space City Carajillo ($23) and Frozen Espresso Martini ($23), plus the new MAVEN Latte ($8).

MAVEN Coffee + Cocktails, 1501 Silver, 1717 Allen Parkway
Opening Day specials will be offered at both the Sawyer Yards and The Thompson locations. At Sawyer Yards, happy hour kicks off at 2:30 p.m. with $12 cocktails, $5 beers, $1.50 oysters and $1 hot dogs, plus game-day action on indoor and patio TVs. Over at The Thompson, fans in Astros jerseys get 15 percent off before or after the game while catching it on two bar TVs.

Monkey’s Tail, 5802 Fulton
In honor of Opening Day, Monkey’s Tail will be opening early at 3 p.m. and serving $1 dogs, $3 Lone Star dogs with chili and cheese and $5 grilled cheese hot dogs wrapped in bacon with poblano and jack cheese, plus crawfish and drink specials from $6 El Chango Boilermakers to $7 Frozen Blue Gingers. Game sound will be on and happy hour will run from 3 to 7 p.m. with $7 cocktails, $2 off wine and $1 off cans/bottled.
The Hot Dog specials will also run every Tuesday.

The Original Ninfa’s on Navigation, 2704 Navigation
Ninfa’s on Navigation will kickstart its free shuttle rides to Daikin Park on Thursday, March 27. Free to ride with any purchase from The Original Ninfa’s, the shuttle will run continuously during every Astros home game, beginning one hour before first pitch and concluding one hour after the game is over. Shuttle riders may park at The Original Ninfa’s, while pick-up and drop-off is at the corner of Saint Emanuel and Congress. The shuttle will run throughout the 2025 Astros baseball season during every home game.

The Pit Room, 1201 Richmond, 10301 Katy Freeway
The Pit Room is stepping up to the plate for Astros Opening Day with $1 Nathan’s hot dogs at the bar all day on Thursday, March 27. Swing by either location to snag the deal, plus sip on happy hour specials like $3 off margs, $6 wells and $6 drafts. And while the Astros are on the field, fans can score $5 local drafts and $8 Texas Boiler Makers.

Puttshack Houston, 1200 McKinney
Located at The Highlight at Houston Center near Daikin Park, Puttshack Houston is swinging into baseball season, with a special STROS713 deal from March 27-29. Play for just $7.13 per game when you book online or in-venue and enjoy exclusive local menu items like the Texas Tailpipe (with $1 per order donated to Houston Food Bank), Chicken & Waffle Flatbread and a Frozen Mango Tamarind Margarita.

Star Sailor, 1710 West 18th
Before the beloved neighborhood dive closes its doors on March 30, Star Sailor invites folks to catch the Astros Season opener and the rest of the opening weekend games alongside refreshing drinks, from-scratch bites and a welcoming vibe.

Cath the game and sip $1 Crawford Bocks and $2 Shot of the Day specials on Astros Opening Day.

Xochi, 1777 Walker
Sitting just blocks from Daikin Park, Xochi invites fans to stop by the restaurant to enjoy Opening Day happy hour and a pecial Houston Astros margarita. The GoStros Rita features tequila, orange liqueur, Campari and peach nectar, with a tea-infused salt rim for $11. Happy Hour menu items include Tacos de Papa, Tostada de Camaron, Taquitos Dorado and more. The happy hour menu is available Monday to Saturday, 4 to 6 pm.
