Chef’s Cut Series & Weekly DJ Sessions at Julep

Julep, 1919 Washington, hosts its Chef’s Cut series from 6 to 10 p.m., featuring guest chefs creating seasonal flatbreads paired with cocktails while resident DJ Robin Wong of Blood Brothers spins. This week features chef Anitra Broussard (State of Grace, formerly of Riel), with proceeds from each flatbread benefiting the Southern Smoke Foundation.

Chef’s Dinner Party Series at Doke Concepts 

Doke Concepts continues its multi-restaurant Chef’s Dinner Party Series, this time with acclaimed Austin chef Kevin Fink, award-winning partner and executive chef of Emmer & Rye, Hestia, Kalimotxo and Canje. Evenings begin with champagne and first courses at Lazy Lane, continue with additional courses at The Green Room, and finish with dessert cocktails and s’mores at Heights & Co. Steak Night at Patton’s Steakhouse

Patton’s Steakhouse, tucked inside Savoir at 1344 Yale, brings back its Thursday steak night deal with 35 percent off all steaks from 5 to 9 p.m. Guests can choose cuts like ribeye, filet and American Wagyu sourced from Texas purveyors and customize with sauces, butters and add-ons like shrimp, scallops or bone marrow. Taco Fest at Pico’s

Pico’s, 3601 Kirby, will kick off Taco Fest on Friday, May 1, running through the end of May and featuring rotating taco plates with three tacos starting at $8. Options range from ribeye, tinga de pollo and carnitas to chile relleno, tacos Ensenada and 72-hour crispy pork belly, plus seafood and vegan selections.

A Culinary Journey Through Chiapas  at Caracol

Caracol, 2200 Post Oak, continues its tasting menu series with A Culinary Journey Through Chiapas tasting menu, running Monday through Saturday for dinner now through May 7. Guests can enjoy a multi-course menu inspired by the coastal flavors of Chiapas including Gulf shrimp ceviche with coconut and chile, crispy masa garnacha with shredded beef and mole coloradito, and slow-roasted pork cochito chiapaneco with tamal de bola, followed by traditional dessert chimbo with piloncillo syrup and corn ice cream. The experience is priced at $75 per person plus tax and gratuity with an optional beverage pairing for $36 per person.

Spring Menu at Le Jardinier

Le Jardinier, 5500 Main, has launched a new spring menu highlighting seasonal dishes like burrata with strawberry and rhubarb, French white asparagus, pea ricotta ravioli and salmon with asparagus and saffron hollandaise. The menu also features “Flavors of French Tradition” selections including slow-cooked cod with leek fondue, thyme, champagne cream sauce and caviar, finished with a tangerine vegan dream for dessert.

Crawfish Ramen at Ramen Tatsu-Ya

Ramen Tatsu-Ya brings back its limited-time favorite, The Crawmen, a crawfish boil-inspired ramen bowl with tonkotsu broth, Crawmen tare, garlic, andouille, crawfish succotash, green onion and lemon – available through the end of May.
