Organizers for the 12th Annual Houston Hot Sauce Festival want to warn you: Eat at your own risk. The salsas, marinades, rubs, jellies and sauces you’ll find at the festival range from mild to triple-X in terms of heat. Along with plenty of food and cooking aids, pepper-themed clothes, jewelry and art will be for sale. The Zydeco Dots will provide live music, and a special Chile-dren’s area has been set aside for kids.
Sat., Sept. 15, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sun., Sept. 16, 12-5 p.m., 2012
