19th Annual Menorah Lighting at Houston City Hall

Observe Chanukah with one of the largest menorahs in the city at the 19th Annual Menorah Lighting at Houston City Hall. Members of the Jewish religion light a candle on the menorah every day for eight days, re-enacting the miracle of one day’s oil lasting eight during a crucial battle 2,100 years ago as a small band of Jews threw off Greek rule. The menorah has a message for everyone — that light will always triumph over darkness.
