I know what you are feeling. The panic that creeps up your spine when you realize we are less than one week away from Christmas and you have not finished your shopping. Fear not, if your loved one is a fan of fashion, I have a few last minute suggestions that are easy to find, and sure to be a success - some you can buy without leaving the house.
First up, the ladies...
A Custom Design The fashion fan knows her designers inside out and probably has memorized their lookbooks cover to cover. So, how about ordering something custom? Contact her favorite designer - all of the Artopia designers showing in January and Houston mainstays Chloe Dao and David Peck do custom - and set an appointment for her to design something one of a kind. She gets to meet the designer too, which is an added plus.
Coffee Table Book Just walk in, head to customer service, and ask for the best fashion book they have. They will have a mountain of options, but just in case here are a few top choices: Vogue: The Covers, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, or The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited.
Beauty Subs Not sure if you know, but the new wave in beauty has nothing to do with the cosmetics counter. Beauty box subscriptions are what it is all about, and you can sign her up for one. There are more than enough for the choosing, Birchbox for high end beauty samples; Goodebox for all natural and eco-friendly cosmetics; Julep for the nail polish addict; and GlossyBox for a little European touch.
Make Her a Maker Why buy a piece of jewelry, when you can buy an experience. Anyone in love with fashion is also in love with designing, so give her a chance to create her own design. Houston Makerspace has many different types of classes, all of which can be purchased as a gift.

If you must buy a clothing piece, here are a few no fails:
Scarves: Always a good bet and no need to guess her size. If you aren't sure, always get a lighter silk scarf instead of a chunky knit.
Jewelry: Classic is best (diamond studs, gold bracelet, etc.) but if you want to get fancy, try a statement necklace in gold or silver.
Fashion Movies: There are a wide range of options, from oldies but goodies like Funny Face, to new classics like Devil Wears Prada, and documentaries like Bill Cunningham New York. Just make sure she doesn't already own it.
