A Midsummer Night's Dream

The Red Door Theatre Company's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream isn't exactly what Shakespeare had in mind. This Dream, written by local playwright Louis B. Moore especially for Red Door, is billed as "a parody for the 21st century." In Moore's play-within-a-play version, the Garage Door Theater Troup has changed the show's setting to ancient India and taken their rehearsals into the forest in order to find an authentic environment, all with comic results. 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays. Through August 16. 4513 Red Bluff, Pasadena. For information, call 281-542-0500 or visit www.thereddoortheatrecompany.com. $10 to $15.
