In Always a Bridesmaid
, it’s senior prom night and four friends promise to be in each other’s weddings no matter what. It’s a vow that comes back to haunt them. Now it’s some 30 years later and just as they promised, the four are making “the long walk” for each other. But nobody counted on the seriously ugly bridesmaids’ dresses. Or the shockingly bad choices of future spouses. Or the “every woman for herself” riots that erupt whenever a bridal bouquet is tossed, not to mention the drunken brawls that seem to be standard fare at wedding receptions. Suzanne King, Stacy Spaeth, Vicky McCormick, Peggy Butler, Phyl Deany and Megan Jackson make up the Always a Bridesmaid
cast. King says, “If you’ve ever made a bet on how long the marriage of the duo saying ‘I do’ would last, aided and abetted a runaway bride, or witnessed a fistfight at a wedding, this comedy is definitely for you!” Written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, Always a Bridesmaid
is directed by Judith Mallernee and Susan O’Connor.
