Filmmakers across the city took the 48-Hour Film Project challenge and at today’s Best of Houston 48HFP Screening, you can see the top five. (Winning films hadn’t been announced at press time.) Each team wrote and produced a film in two days. Three elements were required for each finished project: a crew leader character, a mask and the line “It’s probably easier than it looks.” The movies were submitted to judges in May and screened for audiences. Among those named audience favorites were First Kill by Veritatem, The Dichotomous Duo by 4th Collective/Shabango Productions and Prodigal by Green-Kin.
