They're both under 25 years old, kinda young to be the heads of a theater troupe, but Ben Chai and Mary Black are exactly that. Founders of Houston's newest youth theater, Black Acre Theatre, Chai and Black also act in the group's first production, Love Song. John Kolvenbach's comedy about an introverted man and his hyper-efficient sister, Love Song features witty dialogue and off-beat characters. Coming up at Black Acre are Local Playwright Night and The B.A.T. Film Festival. Love Song plays at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Through June 20. Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center, 2502 South Mason Road, Katy. For information, visit www.blackacretheatre.org. $10.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: June 12. Continues through June 20, 2009
