Artist Catherine Colangelo reveals parts of herself in "Progression," an exhibit of paint, paper and fabric works. The recipient of an artist-grant fellowship from the Houston Arts Alliance told us via e-mail, "Lately, my work has dealt with notions of personal identity and how, as human beings, we can be such chameleons...I am a woman, employee, mother, wife, daughter, friend and artist...I became interested in the idea of 'Who will I be when I am with you?'" The works seen in "Progression" include sewn fabric constructions that Colangelo says "represent abstracted imaginary homes." An opening reception and artist talk with Colangelo is set for 12:30 to 2 p.m. January 21. Regular viewing hours are 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Through February 19.
