Childsplay Theatre: Ferdinand the Bull

Ferdinand, a young bull, and Danilo, a matador-in-training, defy expectations in Childsplay Theatre’s musical production of Ferdinand the Bull. Neither of the two is interested in bullfighting; Fer-dinand would rather smell flowers, and Danilo would rather dance. When the two reluctantly meet in the bullring, they do the unexpected and refuse to fight. Kids will love this story about two char-acters who learn it’s okay to stand up for yourself. 7 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. Thursday. Grand 1894 Opera House, 2020 Postoffice, Galveston.
