Cirque de Medrano

Cirque de Medrano's got a little something for everyone. You can check out recent paintings by Patrick Medrano, take in the antics of fire jugglers and clowns, or amuse yourself by keeping an eye on "The Tin Lady." She'll be the one in the mask made out of tin cans, hiding in the audience and giving people found tin objects from her suitcase. If you'd prefer to steer clear of this person, concentrate on the JW Americana Band and its clip-clop music, described by an organizer as "a trailer-trash version of hip-hop." Also on the bill: the Medicine Show, a band that takes its inspiration from The Goonies and features different instruments at every concert.
KEEP THE HOUSTON PRESS FREE... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
