With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth, Company takes a bittersweet look at the age-old issues that alternatively unite and separate the sexes. Michael J. Ross stars as Bobby, a 35-year-old bachelor with three married couples as friends and several girlfriends, in a new production by Music Box Musicals. Ross also doubles as production coordinator, and says, “I chose to produce Company last year when I was listening to the title song and re-heard the lyrics ‘all those photos up on the wall.’ In an instant, the movie started in my mind of all these captured moments of Bobby and his circle of friends over the years, and how we could use those images in projections on stage to flesh out those friendships beyond what’s in the script. It’s working beautifully!”
