Concierto: Gracias Houston (Concert: Thank You Houston)

Raul Brindis, from the nationally syndicated Latino radio show “El Show de Raul Brindis y Pepito,” hosts the fourth annual Concierto: Gracias Houston (Concert: Thank You Houston). The concert is a thank-you to faithful listeners for making Brindis and company the No. 1 Spanish-language morning show in town for nine consecutive years.

The concert features prominent Latin performers playing everything from rock and roll to duranguense, including the Norteño group Duelo, DJ Flex, Christian artist Tony Melendez, merengue band La Firma and duranguense artists Diana Reyes and Alacranes Musical. If you are not well acquainted with Latin music, consider this a crash course. (By the way, if this is the show celebrating nine years at No. 1, we can’t wait to see what Brindis does next year.) 7 p.m. Escapade 2001, 11903 Eastex Freeway. For information, call 281-372-1100 or visit Free (call for a complete list of ticket locations).
