David Morrell

Winner of three Bram Stoker Awards, David Morrell has been called “the father of the modern action novel.” He’ll read from his latest release, The Spy Who Came for Christmas, at today’s signing and discussion. Spy is a tale of espionage with Nativity story overtones. Undercover agent Paul Kagan spends Christmas Eve protecting an infant from Russian mobsters, with just a battered woman and her disillusioned son to help him.

Morrell will also sign copies of his Marvel Knights miniseries Captain America: The Chosen. Find out if Marine Corporal James Newsom is actually fighting alongside Captain America or if it’s all in his head. And is Captain America — gasp! — dying? 6 p.m. 2342 Bissonnet.
