Dragons & Fairies

Folk tales take center stage at the weeklong child-friendly event “Dragons and Fairies.” The little ones will explore everything about Vietnamese culture while creating their very own fairy wings or dragon masks. They’ll learn just how that tiger got his trademark stripes, and perhaps will even find out how a watermelon managed to save a royal family. Imaginations will go wild with the wondrous exhibit — after all, not only are there fairy wings and dragon things, but there’s fantasy science, too — which creates a perfect respite for Mom and Dad from the heat of the outdoors. The kids won’t even mind eschewing the dog days of summer for the shores of ancient Vietnam. After all, where they’re going, there will be plenty of heat from the fire of the dragon’s snarl.
