Footloose

It might seem unimaginable to today's teens - a city where dancing is illegal - but that's the case in the musical Footloose, presented today by Playhouse 1960. A new kid in town, Ren, wants to shake things up (literally), but he faces a showdown with the local pastor, who preaches against the evils found on the dance floor. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 7 p.m. Sundays. Through August 2. Klein Oak High School, 22603 Northcrest Drive. For information, call 281-587-8243 or visit www.ph1960.com. $13 to $15.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 7 p.m. Starts: July 17. Continues through Aug. 2, 2009
