Footloose, the Musical

It’s a mixed cast of professionals and students appearing in Footloose, The Musical. A production of Bayou City Theatrics’ education program, bctEDU, Footloose features students Taylor McWhorter as Ren, a newcomer to the rural community where the show is set, and Mia Coyle as Ariel, the local girl he falls for. BCT company member Will Ledesma appears as the intolerant Rev. Shaw Moore, who has banned dancing. The BCT creative team putting this all together includes Artistic Director Colton Berry (who directs and also appears as Willard), company choreographer and Houston Theater Awards Best Choreographer winner Luke Hamilton (who choreographs and also appears as Chuck Cranston) and Music Director Jane Volke. This is the first production by bctEDU.
