If you're feeling flush this holiday season and want to give someone, or yourself, an extra-special gift, the Galleria is offering a special savings incentive at David Yurman and Gucci. Between now and January 31, 2012 shoppers who purchase a $250 Simon American Express gift card will receive a $100 gift certificate to David Yurman. Yurman's designs have gone down the red carpet on stars like Jaime Pressly, Olivia Wilde, Kate Bosworth and Angie Harmon, to name just a few. The gift certificate is good for any Yurman purchase over $500. You will find David Yurman's boutique in the Saks Fifth Avenue wing of the Galleria.

That's not all -- let's see what Gucci has in store for us.

Talk about a stay-cation: Between now and December 31, you can take advantage of a luxury Gucci shopping package that includes deluxe hotel accommodations at The Westin Oaks, including The Westin Heavenly Bed and complimentary self-parking, plus a $1,000 gift certificate to Nordstrom. There are no blackout dates on this offer -- it is available seven days a week between now and December 31, and costs $1,000 per night.

To review current Galleria shopping packages and to book online, visit the Westin Galleria website. Merry, fancy Christmas!

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Houston with no paywalls.
