Germán Herrera: "Book of Mirrors"

Explore the thin line between the metaphysical and the physical in Germán Herrera's "Book of Mirrors," the newest exhibit at De Santos Gallery. Mexican-born photographer Herrera uses black-and-white, fragmented images, bathroom tile and a potted plant to create realistic-looking - but imagined - photographic composites. By merging digital technology with enigmatic images, the one-time street photography devotee Herrera sends viewers on an Alice in Wonderland journey. 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Through July 25. 1724 Richmond. For information, call 713-520-1200 or visit
Wednesdays-Saturdays. Starts: June 13. Continues through July 25, 2009
