One of the exhibiting artists is Matthew Grabelsky, a 2002 Rice University art, art history and astrophysics graduate who has bounced back and forth between his native New York, Italy and France. His piece for "Go West I," entitled Alexandra and Mr. Guar, depicts a standard scene on the New York City subway except for the fact that the suave dude sitting next to an attractive female is a bull in a monkey suit.
Organized by participating artist Karine Parker-Lemoyne, “Go West I” is on display 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Through November 25. Williams Tower Gallery, 2800 Post Oak Boulevard. For information, visit www.gowesthouston.com. Free.
