Going Dark

Houston Press MasterMind Award winner Nova Arts Project presents the world premiere of Going Dark. The play by Houstonian Elizabeth Keel focuses on a new student’s arrival at a small school, a place “where emotions are a science and occasionally a weapon.” Some people at the school welcome the student’s arrival, including professors, but everything isn’t what it seems and soon old ghosts start to haunt the characters. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Midtown Arts Center, 3414 La Branch. For information, call 832-545-8778 or visit www.novaartsproject.com. $7 to $10.
Fri., May 22, 8 p.m.; Sat., May 23, 8 p.m.; Sun., May 24, 2 p.m., 2009
