Here Are Ryan Gosling, Michael Fassbender and Terrence Malick at ACL 2012

Check out more photos from Day 1 of Austin City Limits in our slideshow.

Here's a photo of enfant terrible film director Terrence Malick talking to actor Ryan Gosling during A-Trak's late afternoon set at Austin City Limits on Friday.

And here's a photo of Prometheus actor Michael Fassbender, also on the side of the stage during the same show.

The trio were later joined by Rooney Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Mara at the Back Lips set about an hour later. Malick did some filming while Mara stood onstage for about 30 seconds and pretended (badly) to play a guitar.

You might remember that Ryan Gosling was spotted last year during Fun Fun Fun Fest, where he took in a set by Houston's own Fat Tony. Gosling and the others have been working with Malick on a film tentatively called Lawless. According to Perez Hilton, the film follows three couples through two intersecting love triangles set against the backdrop of Austin's music scene. Malick is a notoriously slow-working filmmaker, so chances are good he'll be filming at Fun Fun Fun Fest again this November.

And just for the hell of it, here's another photo of Ryan Gosling. Thank me later, ladies.
