It's Officially Film-Festival Season

It's been a week since the Cinema Arts Festival Houston. After such a heavy (lovely) dose of film, your body must be going through withdrawals. Relax--your next dose is right around the corner.

The 2nd annual Houston Comedy Film Festival arrives at the Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks on Dec 1st. From the 1st till the 3rd you can enjoy more than four hours of comedy-flix fun every night. As tempting as it could possibly be to go see Bruce Willis' new movie--FAIL, resist and indulge yourself in a full night (or three) of some of the world's brightest stars in comedic filmmaking.

Over 40 films will be screened. Categories include feature-length, shorts, animation, stand-up, and music videos. One of the nice things about the festival is that the films cover a wide range of the budgetary spectrum. It's not about who has money or a studio, it's about who has a camera and a sense of humor. The filmmakers involved come from all over, but they've found a new home in Houston.

While you wait, titillate your cinematic senses with some trailers.
