Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds

According to Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds, if aliens are going to take over the earth, the least they can do is play some prog rock at the same time. Inspired by the H.G. Wells novel, the FrenetiCore production tells the story of man vs. alien through song, dialogue, dance and multimedia effects. The musical styles range from classic rock to classical music, with a bit of everything in between thrown in. And even though there’s a battle for the future of humanity going on onstage, organizers assure us the show is appropriate for the entire family. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; 3 p.m. Sundays. Through March 6. Frenetic Theater, 5102 Navigation. For information, call 832-426-4624 or visit www.freneticore.net. $8 to $18.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Feb. 25. Continues through March 6, 2011
