MTV has approved two spin-offs from Jersey Shore. First, the diminutive Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi (second from the right, second row, in the photo below), and super-hot Jenni "JWOWW" Farley (first on the left, front row) will have a still-unnamed 12-episode series about life after vacation. Expect to see more romantic misfires and a few drunken escapades as the two friends search for love in "real life." (Something tells us it might be time to pull those "Free Snooki" T-shirts out again.)

The other spin-off is an untitled Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio project. Also slated for 12-episodes, the show follows Pauly (and his hair) as he jets around the country performing. Pauly chases his dream of being a big music star, while a few of his friends from Rhode Island come along for the ride.

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Houston with no paywalls.
