Gallery owner Wade Wilson knows some people see abstract art like the works hes exhibiting in Large Scale: The Painting Show and scoff, My kid could do that. Thats because they dont see what Wilson sees: the movement, the spirit, the emotion that the artists convey through the minimal markings they put on the canvas. You cant really see a thing until you look at it carefully. Put away all those preconceived notions and take the time to look at it, says Wilson. The ideas might not jump out at you at first, but if you spend some time with it, youll start to see the magic. Its subtle, but its very elegant. Artists include Tom Berg and Zachariah Rieke as well as Lucinda Cobley, Jill Moser, Mark Williams and Peter Sacks (the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston has acquired works by Cobley, Moser, Williams and Sacks during the last year). 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
