Magnolia Park Centennial Celebration

Join the residents of Houston's East End as they mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of Magnolia Park. The historically Hispanic neighborhood, which started off as a tiny city before it was gobbled up by Houston, boasts churches, schools, parks and civic organizations that have been active for more than 80 years. The Magnolia Park Centennial Celebration features a parade in the morning, with live music, Mexican food, and kids' activities in the afternoon. 1 p.m. American Legion Post 472, 7599 Avenue C. For information, call 832-867-1155. Free.
