Mat Johnson admits readings arent easy for graphic novelists
especially at a park. Were trying to see how to do a PowerPoint presentation outside, says Johnson. The UH Creative Writing Program faculty member will read from his graphic novel Incognegro today at Discovery Green. He says if worse comes to worst, hell hand out photocopies. Personally, we kind of like the idea of sitting around him kindergarten-style, following along as he turns the pages. Incognegro tells the story of Zane Pinchback, a black journalist in the 1930s South who goes undercover to investigate who is responsible for the murder his brother has been accused of committing.
